Toronto will permanently close its Covid-19 vaccination clinics next month

The City of Toronto will soon close its four permanent Covid-19 vaccination centers as emergency pandemic funding from the province runs out.

On December 13, Metro Hall Clinics, Cloverdale Shopping Centre, North York Civic Centre, and the site near Scarborough Town Center will close permanently.

"These vaccination clinics were initially created as a temporary measure in response to a global health crisis to ensure prompt and equitable access to vaccines for Toronto residents," the city noted in a statement released this week.

Through these clinics, (Toronto Public Health) offered a wide range of vaccines, including routine vaccinations for children under ISPA and SIP, influenza (flu), COVID-19, meningococcal and MPOX. These clinics have been instrumental in supporting Toronto's largest vaccination campaign and ensuring effective outbreak responses over the past three years.
