Toronto was among the best cities in the world in terms of culture
Toronto is considered the economic and cultural heart of Canada, but is this city culturally among the best in the world?
According to Adobe Express' new ranking, which ranks the top cities in terms of culture, cities are based on a range of criteria, including the number of theaters, libraries, art centers, cinemas, attractions, galleries, museums, concerts, historic sites, works of art. Henry examines art-related hashtags on Instagram and whether the city is UNESCO-listed or not.
Although Toronto could not be among the top ten cities in the world in terms of culture, it is ranked 14th with a score of 6.2/10. Also, Toronto ranks third among North American cities after New York and Los Angeles.
Despite being among the top ten cities, Toronto still ranked first among Canadian cities, four places higher than Montreal.
Vancouver wasn't even in the top 40 cities. In comparison, Paris was recognized as the most inspiring cultural city in the world with a score of 8.52/10.
