The cost of the Halloween party has also increased

Halloween, a holiday celebrated by many, has become a source of concern due to the rising prices of costumes and candy. Decorations and Halloween-themed treats have been on store shelves for weeks, and shoppers have noticed a significant increase in the prices of candy boxes.
For example, a small box of chocolate bars at Costco, which was priced at $14.89 last October, now costs $18.49 this year, marking a 24% increase over the course of a year. According to a manager at Spirit Halloween, inflation has also had an impact on the prices of decorative items and Halloween costumes.
Sandra Marsden, the head of Canada's Sugar Institute, explained that the increased cost of Halloween this year is partially due to a global sugar shortage. Despite the rising expenses, some Halloween enthusiasts plan to invest in decorations because they believe they can use them in the years to come.
