Ontario police are looking for the driver of the fatal crash on Highway 11
The Ontario Provincial Police are currently searching for Richard Ouellet, a 69-year-old man from Dorval, Quebec, who is accused of causing the death and bodily harm of others due to dangerous driving. Ouellet faced charges after his commercial vehicle collided with a passenger vehicle on April 7, 2022. Last year, the police stated in a press release that this accident occurred on the shores of Temiskaming before 3:30 PM on April 7, 2022, at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 65.
Two pregnant women were in the passenger vehicle. Christina (Chrissy) Azmond, 21 years old, along with her unborn child, lost their lives. Her friend, Brooke, 22 years old, survived with severe injuries but tragically lost her child. At that time, the police mentioned that they were unable to provide any photos of the suspect. An image of a suspect is only released when the public's right to know clearly outweighs an individual's right to privacy. However, the police announced on Tuesday that they need the public's help to find Ouellet, and they have now released his photo.
Richard Ouellet is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 175 centimeters tall, weighing around 96 kilograms, with brown hair and brown eyes. It has also been mentioned that he speaks with a French accent. The police are asking the public to share any information they may have with them if they can assist in locating him.
