TTC services are free on New Year's Eve
The TTC is once again offering free and extended service on New Year's Eve so that Torontonians can enjoy their festivities in peace.
The free service will be extended until 3am on Monday 1 January, with the last train from Union to Finch leaving for Central One at 2.31am and 2.27am.
The last southbound train will depart from Finch to Union at 2am and from Central Van at 1.50am.
The last Line 1 train at Bloor-Young connects with the last westbound and eastbound trains departing Line 2 at 2:40 AM.
On Line 2, the last eastbound train will depart Kipling Station at 2:15am and the last westbound train will depart Kennedy Station at 2:18am.
The last westbound Line 4 train departs Dunn Mills at 3:09am and Shepard-Young at 2:57am.
The service will be free from 7 pm on December 31 to 8 am on January 1. The municipality asked people to use the TTC to see the fireworks that can be seen from all parts of the pier.
