Deflating SUV tires in Montreal by an environmental activist
"Last night, a group of environmental activists in Montreal took action to deflate the tires of several SUVs. Their argument was that SUVs harm the lives of humans and other creatures.
The incident began in the early hours of this morning when a pedestrian contacted the police to report vandalism against parked cars on the street. After arriving at the scene, the police officers discovered that the tires of 'a number of' parked SUVs had been emptied.
Additionally, similar leaflets to penalty notices were placed on the windshields of the targeted vehicles with the following text: 'Offense Explanation: Driving an SUV that emits excess carbon dioxide and endangers the lives of humans, animals, and plants.'
In the 'Determined Penalty' section of these leaflets, it was stated: 'Your vehicle has becom inoperable.' These acts of vandalism occurred in Montreal during the middle of the 'Climate Rage Week,' during which environmental activists attempt to combat climate change through various actions they consider impactful. The Montreal City Police Department has not yet identified any suspects in this regard."
