With Canada re-imposing working hours caps, international students are concerned about paying tuition and living expenses.
Canada is set to reimpose a limit on the number of hours international students can work off-campus. But with growing concerns about the cost of living in Canada, many international students say they aren't sure how they'll be able to pay for their education and living expenses if they can't work full-time.
In November 2022, the federal government launched a pilot project that removed the limit on the off-campus hours that international students could work.
The pilot project was a temporary measure designed to address labor shortages in the Canadian economy and is set to expire on December 31, 2023, meaning international students will once again be limited to 20 hours per week starting next year. .
