Weird ancient tree from before dinosaurs found in Canadian quarry
A miner in Canada accidentally discovered an ancient fossilized tree that is more than 380 million years old, that is, before the appearance of dinosaurs. This fossilized tree was discovered in a coal mine in the province of Nova Scotia.
It is estimated that this tree is about 385 million years old. This tree belongs to the extinct species of plants called "Archaeopteris" which was common during the Paleozoic era.
This fossil is completely preserved and consists of branches and leaves of the tree. This fossil is temporarily stored in the Natural History Museum. More about it has been obtained. This amazing discovery is an important step in understanding the history of the Earth and the life on it.
