Two Toronto women have been arrested on charges of armed home invasion and possession of a firearm
Two Toronto women have been arrested on 28 charges following an armed home invasion in the Church Wellesley neighborhood last week. Toronto Police were called to the intersection of East Charles Street and Church Street on Tuesday, November 14th.
It is said that the victim was inside his house with one of the robber's acquaintances when he heard a knock on the door. As soon as the victim opens the door, he encounters a woman who forcibly enters the house.
According to police, the suspect and a woman who was an acquaintance of the robber began searching the victim's drawers for valuables, and when the victim tried to intervene, one of the suspects pulled out a gun.
Two female suspects took some money from one of the drawers and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. Investigators arrested both women on Monday and officers recovered a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The suspects were identified as Tara Finn, 35, and Wendy Tunde Eddy Momo, 22, both of Toronto.
Finn faces a total of 13 charges, including robbery with a firearm and possession of a weapon. Momo faces 15 charges, including robbery with a firearm, trespassing and displaying a firearm, and other offenses.
