Street racing blocked Highway 427
Ontario Provincial Police announced that on Saturday morning, in response to reports of the closure of a section of Highway 427 due to street racing events, police forces were dispatched to the area. Upon police arrival, vehicles participating in the races fled the scene.
Videos circulated on social media depict a portion of the highway completely blocked due to the presence of racing cars and the attendance of dozens of spectators. This incident led to other motorists parking their vehicles alongside the highway to avoid interference with the racing events.
