Two people went to the hospital after two shootings in Scarborough
Two people are hospitalized following two shootings that took place less than half an hour apart in Scarborough on Saturday evening.
The first happened in the area of Morningside Avenue and Coronation Drive around 7:34 p.m.
According to the police, after the sound of shooting was heard in the area, one person was injured and was taken to the hospital by emergency. A dark colored SUV was seen fleeing the scene.
Then just 25 minutes later, police were called to another shooting at Tapscott Road and Washburn Road.
Police said several gunshots were heard before the person with the gunshot wound was identified. According to the police, the victim was taken to the hospital and the extent of his injuries has not been determined.
Police said there were reports of shots fired from a dark-colored vehicle. Police said they are looking for two teenage male suspects wearing black clothing and hats in connection with the second shooting.
Police have not yet said if the two shootings are connected.
