Two people are dead after a house fire in Regina
The Regina Police Service (RPS), along with Regina Fire and the Saskatchewan Medical Examiner's Office are investigating after two people died in a house fire in Regina.
Police were called to a residence in the 800 block of Rye Street just after 8:30 a.m., according to the RPS report.
Two residents outside the home notified police that two adults were still inside, the statement said.
According to the report, Regina Fire and EMS arrived a short time later and attempted to remove two residents from the upper floor of the home and control the fire.
Two people who were pulled out of the house died at the scene.
According to a post from Regina Fire, four people in a neighboring home were displaced due to fire damage to their property.
Officers secured the scene and Regina Fire is trying to determine the cause of the fire.
