Kingston, Ontario police say a 32-year-old mother is facing multiple charges after leaving her two children alone in her apartment, leading to the death of one of them. Police say a representative from the county's Child and Family Services on May 31 informed them that the body of a child had been found in a home where neither parent was present. The children's mother was later arrested in Napanee, Ontario, about 45 kilometers from Kingston, police said. leading to death, failure to provide the necessities of life and two counts of abandoning children under 10 years of age.
