Sights of Toronto according to Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow
Olivia Chow, who is now the 66th mayor of Toronto and has lived in Toronto since the early 1970s, is no stranger to the city's various attractions and restaurants.
In Chow's interview, when asked about the best thing to do in Toronto, he pointed to the bike trails, saying, "You can bike all the way to Leslie Spit or go to the Martin Goodman Trail." and go west.
When asked about her fondest memory in Toronto, Chow pointed to the Algonquin Island Association Clubhouse, where she and her late husband, Jack Layton, were married. "I planted a tree there in honor of our marriage," he said.
Chow said that since winning the 2023 Toronto mayoral by-election, his favorite places have been all the street festivals he's had the chance to attend.
"People in Toronto come out in the summer and I get to say hello to thousands of people and have a great time," he added.
When asked about some of his favorite places to eat in the city, Chow named Fiesta Farms as the best place to get groceries, North Brooklyn for pizza, Johnny's Hamburgers for burgers, and Bao Mama. Introduced for sandwiches.
Chow listed watching the sunset at Cherry Beach as the best date spot and paddling on Lake Ontario as one of her favorite things to do in the city.
Finally, when Chow was asked about the Toronto landmark, he laughed and said, "City Hall."
