Saskatchewan is a safe space to buy 'sustainable oil,' Scott Moe says
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is trying to use the global climate change conference as an opportunity to market the province's non-renewable resources.
"The world will need these products for a while, whether it's oil ... or some of the mineral products that we have," Mo told reporters at a virtual press conference from the United Nations COP28 climate conference on Sunday.
If we don't deliver our "sustainable oil" to the world, he says, they will have to get it from someone else.
Mo pointed to Germany's efforts to import liquefied natural gas in an effort to end the country's reliance on Russian pipeline gas.
