Railroad tie fire causes $20,000 damage
Chatham-Kent firefighters spent several hours battling a "stubborn" blaze along railroad tracks near Bloomfield Avenue.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the fire on Bloomfield Road around 7:10 p.m. Thursday.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the railroad tracks on fire.
Officials say tankers from Raleigh North, Harwich North, Chatham South were called to help provide enough water to fight the stubborn fire.
