A daring ascent of a roof topper from the tallest buildings in Toronto
A roof topper shared an incredible and very dangerous view from one of the highest points of the Toronto skyline.
Videos shared by the roof tapper known as ChaseTO show the daring climb to the top of Toronto's St. Regis Hotel (the former Trump International Hotel and Tower) in the Bay and Adelaide. At approximately 282 meters tall, the St. Regis is technically the second tallest building in Toronto. The roof-topper now claims to be one of the few people standing on this spot without wearing a helmet.
The St. Regis has been a favorite spot for roof-toppers since the trend began in Toronto in the mid-2000s, started by photographer Tom Ryaboy.
In the description of the video, the roof-topper claims: “As far as I know, no one in the city has climbed this part of the St. Regis. People have photoshopped themselves there, but no one has actually climbed this part." Experts believe that these actions pose a serious risk. This danger became a reality in 2023 when a roof topper was killed while trying to climb a tall building.
Despite these warnings, other roof-toppers continue to climb tall buildings for dangerous and deadly photo shoots.
