Heartbreaking accident in Markham; 61-year-old driver dies in two-car collision
On Monday, November 10, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Reesor Road and 16th Avenue in Markham. The 61-year-old driver of one of the vehicles died and a 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
York Regional Police said the exact cause of the crash is still unknown, but initial investigations suggest speeding or careless lane changes. 🚨
The roadway leading to the crash remains closed pending the completion of the investigation, while the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) is reviewing surveillance camera evidence.
