Ontario will add more than 300 weekly trips on Go Transit by the end of the month
Ontario to add more than 300 new weekly GO Transit trips by month's end; What Metrolinx describes as "the biggest improvement to GO rail service since 2013." These changes will be made on April 28 on the Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, Kitchener, Stouffville and Milton lines.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement Monday alongside Transportation Minister Prabmit Sarkaria in Milton, Ontario.
The things that change are:
Lake Shore West: This service runs every 15 minutes between Oakville Go and Union Station on weekend afternoons and evenings.
Lake Shore East: This service runs every 15 minutes between Durham College Oshawa Go and Union Station on weekend afternoons and evenings.
Kitchener: This service runs between Bramalea GO and Union Station on weekday afternoons and evenings every 30 minutes. Some weekend trips are extended to 10 carriages.
Stoweville: Evening train service operates seven days a week.
Milton: Another morning rush hour trip to and from Milton will be added to Union Station.
Up Express: The second train (every 30 minutes) will run non-stop between Union Station and Pearson International Airport seven days a week.
