Only 2.5 hours to one of Ontario's most beautiful hiking trails
It’s only about two and a half hours away from the hustle and bustle of Toronto. In the heart of the laid-back, charming town of Huntsville in Muskoka County, lies a trail that has become one of Ontario’s most scenic natural attractions: the Hunters Bay Trail.
The 4.5-kilometer trail winds through lush forests, orchards, and tranquil beaches, ending at a floating wooden bridge that spans the tranquil waters of the Hunters Bay. As you walk along the trail, you’ll feel like you’re actually walking on water.
The Hunters Bay Trail is ideal for walking, running, or cycling, and offers a different look in every season, from the scent of flowers and birdsong in summer to the dazzling display of gold and red leaves in fall.
To start the trail, simply head to Main Street West in Huntsville and begin your journey there.
