A 40-year-old man is dead and another man in his 20s is battling death in hospital after two people were shot in a school parking lot near Mississauga.
Peel County police were called to the Montevideo Road and Lorca Crescent area near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Derry Road on a report of a shooting at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said there was a gathering in the parking lot of Settlers Green Public School at the time of the shooting. Many people frequent the neighborhood late at night, and according to a neighbor, an argument was heard before the gunshots rang out.
