Canadians will change their clocks tonight as many parts of the country prepare to go to Daylight Savings Time.
This change happens in most parts of the country at 2 am local time.
The Yukon and most of Saskatchewan keep their clocks the same year-round.
Canadians can thank an avid golfer in Thunder Bay, Ontario for introducing daylight saving time to the country.
In 1908, the towns of Port Arthur and Fort William—now Thunder Bay—established a seasonal change in July and August.
A decade later, it spread to most parts of the country.
