Two stabbing incidents at the same time in one night in Montreal
Two men were stabbed in separate incidents in Montreal early this morning.
According to the Montreal Police (SPVM), one of the incidents involved the theft of a cell phone.
Around 1:10 a.m., officers were called to the Langelier metro station, located in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.
They found a 20-year-old man with stab wounds to his arm and hand.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Two 19-year-old youths were arrested on the spot.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage for more information about the robbery and stabbing.
Around the same time in the morning, another man was stabbed in the Ville Marie area.
The 29-year-old victim was attacked after leaving a building on Clark Street, near Rene Lusk Boulevard.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries. According to SPVM, his life is not in danger.
No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
