Missing 6-year-old in northern Alberta found dead

A 6-year-old child who went missing from her home in the northern Alberta town of Cold Lake on Sunday has been found by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) but has sadly passed away.
The child was last seen at her home on Rocky Way Road around 5 p.m. and was reported missing around 8 p.m., police said.
On Monday morning, police said in an update that the child had been found but had sadly passed away.
The child's death is not being treated as suspicious and the cause of death is not being released out of respect for the family, according to the RCMP.
In a statement, police expressed their condolences to the child's family and loved ones.
