Man facing first-degree murder charge in North York stabbing at apartment building
Officers found a male suspect at the scene with a knife and arrested him.
In a statement released Saturday, police identified the suspect as Dean Joel Constance, 46, who was charged with first-degree murder. This matter has not yet been tested in court.
On Friday, Superintendent Peter Wehby told reporters that the Seldogars believed they knew Smith and Constance and called the incident a "targeted attack."
Wehbi added that according to the police's belief, the two men were fighting inside the building before the stabbing.
Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
