Hyundai has issued a recall for thousands of its vehicles across Canada due to a problem with the rear camera system.
Hyundai has issued a recall for thousands of its vehicles across Canada due to a problem with the rear camera system.
A Hyundai spokesperson said in a statement that about 48,000 vehicles in Canada are affected by the recall.
This recall includes the following cars:
-29,849 Elantra ICE units (2021-2022 model year)
- 255 Elantra N (ICE) units (2021-2022 model year)
-2,660 Elantra HEV units (2021-2022 model year)
– 11,397 Santa Fe ICE (2021-2022 model year)
– 1,323 Santa Fe Plug-in HEV (2022 model year)
– 3,025 units Santa Fe HEV (2021-2022 model year)
Hyundai noted that the recalled cars have rearview camera systems that deteriorate over time, which could cause the rear view image to not be displayed properly and increase the risk of a crash.
Customers can enter their vehicle identification number (VIN) on the Hyundai Canada recall page to see if their vehicle is covered by the recall.
