Return of files approved before nomination in OINP
Breaking news for Ontario immigration applicants!
The province of Ontario has announced that it will now be able to return or stop processing immigration applications before a nomination is issued.
According to official sources, the decision was made to align with the needs of the labour market, prevent abuses and increase transparency.
But contrary to some rumors on social media, no exact list of 15 factors has been released, only that factors such as employment status, work history, and market needs are influential in the decision-making process.
Simply put: the province now has “full discretion” to decide which files to keep and which to return.
