First snowfall of the season to hit Ottawa
The pre-Halloween forecast has Ottawa residents dreading it, as the first snow of the season is expected tonight and Monday morning.
Environment Canada is predicting periods of rain or snow later this evening before changing to snow overnight. Ottawa could see 2 cm of snow by Monday morning.
This will be the first snowfall in Ottawa since October 2020, when 0.2 cm of snow was recorded at Ottawa Airport on October 26.
Last year, Ottawa saw a trace of snow on November 13, with the first significant snowfall on November 16 with 7 cm of snow.
