"Direct Kenora-Thunder Bay flight to launch from January 15th"
Police have closed their investigation into a crash that killed four students and a teacher in Walkerton, Ont., and announced that no charges will be filed.
Ontario Provincial Police said they will not be releasing further details about what happened May 23, when a vehicle carrying five victims crashed into a pickup truck and then an SUV at the intersection of Cobble Hill and Thorndale roads, east of London.
“After a thorough review of all the evidence and circumstances, it has been determined that no charges will be filed in connection with this incident,” Lt. Col. Edward Sanchuk said in a video.
The deaths of Olivia Rourke, Rowan McLeod, Kaydence Ford, Danica Baker and their teacher Matt Eckert have left the Walkerton community in shock and grief. In the days since the incident, a large memorial service was held at Walkerton Regional School, with hundreds of people paying their respects.
