Diddy admits beating ex-girlfriend Cassie, says he's sorry, calls his actions 'inexcusable'
Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has apologized after a video of him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016 was released.
The video, taken from the hotel's surveillance camera, shows Combs punching, kicking, pushing and throwing objects at Cassie.
Cassie sued Combs in November of last year for years of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, according to her. The lawsuit was settled the next day, but prompted scrutiny of Combs and several other lawsuits, along with a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation.
In a video she released, Combs took full responsibility for her actions and said she was "disgusted" by her "inexcusable behavior." He also said he has sought professional help and is committed to "being a better person every day."
This is the first time Combs has publicly responded to allegations of misconduct against her.
It is not yet clear if Combs will face criminal charges in connection with the incident.
