Canadian man survives after his car crashes off a cliff in Hawaii
A Canadian tourist in Hawaii, who was trying to watch the sunrise, managed to survive a series of catastrophic events after he took the wrong turn and fell off a cliff.
The Hawaii Island Fire Chief announced that the man was driving a rental SUV that veered off a dirt road on the Big Island of Hawaii early Sunday morning. The 27-year-old Canadian was trying to find a place to watch the sunrise. His car was thrown from the edge of the cliff and hit the rocks below. Then this man got out of the car and went into the water. A fisherman called the fire department around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and rescuers identified the driver who was floating 100 meters from the shore.
The driver had minor injuries and hypothermia and was discharged from the hospital after treatment.
