An Ontario man's grief over the loss of his brother's ashes on an Air Canada flight
Charles Matthews, of Ontario, is suing Air Canada over the loss of his brother's ashes on a flight to Jamaica. He and his family were traveling to Jamaica to bury their brother's ashes next to their mother's grave, but when they picked up their luggage, they discovered that the suitcase containing the ashes was missing.
Mr Matthews said: "His death was very sad for me. And now this incident has been added to it." He says Air Canada initially told him the bag had been found, but later found out it hadn't.
Air Canada said in a statement that it "deeply regrets" the incident and is working to locate the missing luggage. The airline also said it would compensate Mr Matthews.
This incident has angered and upset Mr. Matthews and his family. They say Air Canada has been remiss in its handling of the matter.
Losing the ashes of loved ones can be a very painful and disturbing experience. Mr. Matthews and his family hope that Air Canada will find the missing luggage as soon as possible and comfort them in their great grief.
