An officer was injured in a crash on Highway 12 in Orillia
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a crash involving a police vehicle that resulted in an officer being transported to hospital.
According to an OPP report, the officer was on a mission when he crashed into a vehicle at Highway 12 and Monarch Drive in Orillia shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, the intersection was closed for about an hour while emergency responders attended the scene. Police say the officer was treated for minor injuries, while no other injuries were reported. The OPP said in a statement Friday. "The investigation is ongoing. No further details will be released at this time."
