A man has been arrested after the body of a 29-year-old woman was found in Granby, Que.
The body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered Friday evening in Granby, in the Eastern Township of Quebec.
Police say his body shows signs of violence.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with her murder.
Officers from the Granby Police Service were called to an apartment on Elgin Street around 8 p.m., where they discovered the victim. His death was announced on the spot and the investigation was handed over to the Provincial Intelligence Police.
The accused was arrested around 22:30. About 180 km away in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
SQ does not confirm the connection between the victim and the suspect or the use of a weapon.
The victim's identity has not been revealed.
