A man died of carbon monoxide poisoning in Kitchener, and six people were hospitalized.
Police say a 25-year-old man has died of carbon monoxide poisoning from a car in a garage in Kitchener, Ont.
Six other people who were in the house were taken to the hospital. Neighbors say that some of their residents were international students or newcomers to Canada.
Emergency crews were called to the townhouse on Activa Avenue near Periwinkle Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses described a street lined with ambulances and fire trucks, with several people being carried out on stretchers and at least one being given CPR.
Police said the incident was not suspicious.
