18-year-old hit and killed by vehicle
A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Notre Dame Street on Saturday, the Winnipeg Police Service has confirmed.
According to police, the accident happened around 6 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Notre Dame Street and Cecil Street.
An 18-year-old Winnipeg boy ran in front of a car traveling southbound on Notre Dame and crashed, injuring him, police said. The driver of the car stopped, got out, called the police and provided emergency services to the victim until the ambulance arrived.
The death of this 18-year-old was announced at the hospital.
