The $50 million lottery winner bought his ticket on Thanksgiving

The Lotto Max draw took place last Saturday. The next day, Mr. Richard's wife and daughter, while checking the numbers, realized that they had struck it rich. His daughter's scream of joy was so intense that everyone thought she had seen a spider. However, Mr. Richard himself showed no particular reaction to his remarkable and multi-million-dollar win. When told he had won, he simply said, "Okay," and left the room.
The elderly Mr. Richard and his daughter were in the midst of shopping for Thanksgiving dinner when they also bought a lottery ticket in Montreal. The two of them were at a grocery store called "Super C" in the LaSalle area, unaware that their ticket would lead to a substantial jackpot of $50 million.
Mr. Richard, on Friday, told reporters, "I feel like nothing has changed!" He mentioned that he has over 40 years of work experience as a laborer and returned to work at 4:30 AM on Tuesday (Thanksgiving Day). Sixty-something Mr. Richard works as a driver and heads the transportation department of a company. He stated that, despite winning the lottery, he has no plans to retire and intends to use his winnings to purchase a home in the suburbs and a car, with no specific plans beyond that.
