Inflation has caused Canadians to change the way they celebrate Halloween

Amid the cost of living and rising food prices, Canadians are opting for cheaper options in the candy aisle, getting creative with their children's clothing, and going low on decorations for this spooky season.
A survey by Maru Public Opinion shows that 50% of Canadian families will participate in Halloween this year by dressing up or donating treats. The provinces with the least Halloween spirit were Quebec at 38 per cent and British Columbia at 48 per cent of residents, according to the survey, while Atlantic Canada had 71 per cent celebrating the season.
