Call for 93,000 Ford Explorer chassis cars in Canada

Ford announced that a recall has been issued for 93,000 of its Explorer SUVs in Canada. The automaker has issued a recall for the 2011 to 2019 Explorer SUV models due to a problem with a trim piece that could pose a risk to other drivers.

The company is recalling 2.24 million vehicles after a report from the US National Highway Traffic Administration indicated that the trim piece on the side windows could loosen and detach. According to Ford, people can identify this problem by the sound of the A-pillar area near the sides of the windshield, which sounds like a rattle and wind noise.

The company said it has received 568 complaints and more than 14,000 warranty reports of missing or detached parts, but no accidents or injuries have been reported.
