The recall was announced on Thursday in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Bell Sports, Inc.
These helmets, which come in a variety of colors, were sold at Walmart stores between September 2024 and May 2025.
According to the official notice, the affected products include helmets bearing the name “Cadence”, model number B0605Y, and a date code of “9/24” found on the label inside the helmet.
Things to check:
- Helmets with a black and blue pattern, SKU 7147114
- Helmets with a purple pattern, SKU 7147115
According to the manufacturer, 481 units of these helmets were sold in Canada, and 31,214 units were sold in the United States. Fortunately, as of June 24, no injury reports related to this product have been received in either country.

Health Canada has advised consumers to immediately stop using these helmets.
To receive a refund, customers must cut the straps off the helmet, take a photo of the helmet with the straps cut, and email the photo to consumersupport-bell@bellhelmets.com. The helmet should then be properly discarded.
