Woman, 53, dies after snowmobile collides with moose in northeastern N.B.
A 53-year-old woman died after her snowmobile collided with a moose on a snowy trail in Leach, New Brunswick, late Wednesday night.
The Canadian Mounted Police in Tracadie, along with members of the Tracadie Fire Department and New Brunswick Ambulance Rescue, were dispatched to the scene shortly before midnight.
The snowmobile driver died at the scene from his injuries, police said. The woman was from Petit-Tracadie, New Brunswick.
The Canadian Mounted Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and the New Brunswick Medical Examiner’s Office is also participating in the investigation.
