Vancouver Canucks hockey team fans are surprised by the royal family
In an unexpected turn of events, fans of the Canucks hockey team were surprised on Tuesday with the unexpected presence of Prince Harry.
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are currently in Vancouver for a few days, participating in a promotional tour ahead of the Invictus Games 2025, scheduled for February in Vancouver and Whistler.
Harry, the founder and supporter of the games, which bring together wounded veterans and ill individuals from around the world to compete in various sports, is actively involved in promoting the event.
The 2025 Vancouver Games will mark the first time including winter sports competitions. The Invictus Games are expected to feature over 500 participants from more than 20 different countries.
The Indigenous territories of Sqmaish, Musqueam, Lil’wat, and Tsleil-Waututh are jointly hosting the games.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no strangers to British Columbia, having had an extended stay on Vancouver Island in 2019. It is said that they have an affinity for British Columbia.
