The night the Toronto sky came alive: Drone show and live concert at Fort York
Toronto will host a dazzling drone show with a live orchestra for the first time — a one-of-a-kind experience that will take place for one night only: August 19, 2025 at the historic Fort York.
The special event, titled The Origin of Light, is a fusion of art, music and technology. During a 90-minute concert, hundreds of illuminated drones will soar through the sky in synchronized movements, while a live orchestra and guest vocalists perform the cinematic soundtrack. The result is a stunning and immersive experience for all the senses.
The show follows a celestial being named “Lyra” who, from the depths of darkness and silence, embarks on an inspiring journey towards light.
Tickets start at around $118 and include special perks including:
An official memento of the show
Exclusive digital performance program and wallpapers
A chance to meet the artists
Access to an interactive art exhibit that evening
On-site food and beverage
This event is a unique opportunity to step inside Fort York and witness one of the most dazzling performances in Toronto this summer — a show that is sure to be remembered by attendees.
