The captain of the Canadian team, Christian Sinclair, is saying goodbye to football
After leading Team Canada to victory at the Tokyo Olympics in August 2021, captain Christian Sinclair came to a realization.
"After Tokyo, I knew deep down that I didn't want to play in Paris," he said. He pointed to the 2024 Olympics and said: "The formation of the Tokyo Olympics cannot be experienced."
"I wanted to try again for the World Cup because I really thought we could be successful there and we haven't been successful in World Cups for a long time," he added.
