‘Stop using immediately’: Health Canada issues recall for baby nests
Health Canada has announced that the BChic and Chicure models of infant sleep pillows sold under the “eleven” brand by CHIC BABY must be recalled immediately due to the risk of falling, suffocation and entrapment.
The products include a head pillow and come in a variety of designs. Each product is labeled with the “eleven” brand. The Chicure model can also be folded into a portable handbag with a handle.
CHIC BABY said 3007 of the products were sold in Canada between February 2020 and July 2025.
As of July 18, 2025, there have been no reports of injuries or incidents in Canada related to the use of these products.
Health Canada reminds parents and caregivers that the safest place for babies to sleep is on their backs, on a firm, flat surface designed for babies to sleep.
More information on safe infant sleep principles is available in the organization’s official guidelines.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using these products and dispose of them in a manner that they cannot be reused.
For more information, you can contact CHIC BABY at info@chicbaby.ca or visit the company’s website.
Health Canada is also asking consumers to report any incidents or health concerns related to these or other consumer products via the Consumer Incident Report Form.
