Special access to one of Metro Vancouver's most pristine parks!
For the first time, the public can enter one of the most special and untouched parks in the Metro Vancouver area! With its mountain views, 4 km of hiking trails and spectacular wetlands, Widgeon Marsh Park offers a true Canadian wilderness experience. From picnicking and biking to boating on the beautiful Widgeon Slough, it’s all set for a relaxing weekend 🚴♀️🛶
📍 Please note that this is a limited and temporary opening.
⏰ Starting Saturday, November 1, 2025, you can visit the park from 8 am to 3:30 pm daily (except on rainy days or during maintenance).
🚗 Access is possible via parking reservations, walking, biking or boating.
🚌 A free shuttle is also available on weekends from the Lafarge Lake–Douglas station.
Important note: There is limited cell phone coverage and no drinking water available in this area, so come prepared. Also, please do not bring your pets to preserve the pristine nature of this area 🐾💧
It is only half an hour from Coquitlam — a true paradise for lovers of nature and the silence of the forest. 🌲
