Power pole falls on car in west Toronto; 50-year-old woman injured

A strange incident occurred this afternoon in west Toronto. A power pole fell on a car for unknown reasons, injuring a woman inside the car.

The incident occurred in the Earlscourt neighborhood near the intersection of St. Clair Ave West and McRoberts Ave. Toronto police said the initial call to the emergency services was made at 1:22 p.m.

🔹 Painful but non-threatening condition

After emergency services arrived, it was determined that the woman, who is in her 50s, suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition.

🔹 Driver warning

Police are warning that there is heavy traffic and disruption in the area and drivers should use alternate routes until further notice.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
