Police say woman murdered near University of B.C. campus, two arrested
The [police] statement said the victim died from his injuries and a man and a woman were "arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder."

The Special Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is currently handling the investigation.
The team is investigating the case in close cooperation with the university unit, the British Columbia coroner's office and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Efforts are underway to identify the victim, who appears to be an adult female resident of the residence.
Details of the crime scene:
On Thursday afternoon, police and a coroner were seen outside a townhouse on Shortcut Road.
Mounted RCMP officers, along with an IHIT member, entered the home after carrying a toolbox and other equipment.
Information about the residence:
Built in 2021, the townhouse is valued at more than $2.3 million, according to the British Columbia appraisal, and is part of a new residential development in the area.
According to real estate websites, rent for two-bedroom units in the same complex is $4,000 per month.
The silence of the neighbors:
Neighbors of this complex refused to talk to reporters.
A construction worker, who did not want to be identified, said police had been in the area since morning.
Police presence:
RCMP vehicles were parked outside the townhouse complex and an officer stood by a pond behind the complex at the back entrance.
Police request for cooperation:
Major Timothy Pirrotti said in the statement that the investigation is in its early stages and that anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact homicide investigators.
