Police are looking for two suspects in credit card fraud
Toronto police are searching for two people who defrauded an elderly couple out of thousands of dollars in a credit card scam. According to investigators, the couple was contacted on January 24, 2024 by a person claiming to be a police officer.
The person told the elderly couple that a courier would be sent to their home to pick up their credit cards and PIN numbers. When the courier went to their home, the couple handed over their credit cards to the suspects.
The police said that about 13 thousand dollars were withdrawn by the suspects using the couple's credit card. The male suspect has a heavy build with a full beard and medium black hair in a flowing style. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with the Toronto Raptors logo on the front, a black and gray Nike jacket, gray pants, a brown jacket, and gray slippers with white socks.
The female suspect is described as having a slim build with long black hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
Police believe there are other victims involved in this scam and are asked to contact investigators.
