Police are looking for several suspects in a jewelry store robbery at Richmonddale Mall
York Regional Police officers are looking for "several suspects" following a robbery at a jewelry store called "Freedom Jewelry" located at Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill. Police around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, after receiving A shopping center located at Young Street and Carville Road was called to reports of a robbery.
People reported on social media that they heard gunshots, but investigators confirmed that no shots were fired and that it was the sound of breaking glass during part of the robbery. In a video that has been obtained, at least three people are seen breaking the window of Azadi Jewelery and dumping the gold into the bag.
According to the police, no one was injured during this incident. The police investigation is still ongoing.
